Granting freedom and independence

This Christmas, we have a very special gift set for you and your loved ones!

The gift set represents the fusion of two worlds - centuries-old Maya tradition from Guatemala meets high-quality Swiss cosmetics.

It consists of a handmade toiletry bag, crafted by a Maya family in Guatemala, and a premium hand soap produced by the Swifiss company in Appenzell.

The quetzal on the soap symbolizes freedom - and our Guardian Angel program.

Many children in Guatemala - especially from rural indigenous areas - cannot attend school. While theoretically education is free, children must bring their own school supplies, or they are not allowed to participate in class. Most indigenous families in these areas must survive on about $150 per month. Often, this is not even enough for three meals a day, let alone school supplies for their children.

Basic medical care is also theoretically free - but this usually only covers first aid. Anything beyond that is very expensive and therefore unaffordable for many families.

Education means freedom - because it helps children break out of the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves. But a hungry child cannot focus on school.

With our Guardian Angel program, we aim to counteract this injustice and provide children in Santa Bárbara (Suchitepéquez) with access to education, food, and medical care.

100% of the profits go directly into our projects.
