The national bird Quetzal is a bird from the highlands of Guatemala. For centuries it has been a symbol of freedom, hope and prosperity for the Mayas and Aztecs. With the Guardian Angel Program, you take on the role of the Quetzal as a sponsor and give a child access to education and thus to freedom.

Although the state offers primary school free of charge, children must pay for school materials themselves, which is why school attendance remains unthinkable in most cases.
Education is the key to freedom. As a guardian angel, you enable a child to receive a school education, as well as a healthy and balanced diet. For a better future, you create more opportunities and social protection through the sponsorship and help to realize the dreams of the children.
How it works:
Step 1: Fill out the form below and set the monthly donation. By doing so, you will contribute to a child’s education and become his or her official guardian angel.
Step 2: Receive a confirmation email with the payment link.
Step 3: As soon as the payment has been confirmed, you will receive the personal profile of your sponsored child. You can now freely decide if you want to communicate with the child in the future. In any case, you are already part of his/her personal life story!
